Schizandra berry or wu wei zi is widely used as a medicine in China. It is sweet, sour, salty, bitter and pungent. This is why it is also known as “five flavour berry”.

Today’s Dr Oz Show: Wu Wei Zhi Tea for Anxiety
On today’s show, Dr Oz talked about wu wei zhi tea as a natural remedy for anxiety. Wu wei zi supports the function of adrenal glands and has a calming effect. It prevents the glands from over stimulating and releasing adrenaline which causes anxiety. Wu wei zi also boosts mental and physical performance, immune system and prevents fatigue.

It is easy to make wu wei zi tea. Add 1 tablespoon of dried schizandra berries to 1 cup of boiling water. Reduce to low heat and let it steep for about 15 minutes. You can drink it as it is or add some honey or lemon.

Recommended Dosage
1-2 cups per day.
