Botox is commonly used to treat forehead wrinkles and crows feet around the eyes. While effective, it is very costly.

In the “Ultimate After-40 Guide” segment of Dr Oz show, Dr Elizabeth Tanzi (dermatologist) shares two alternatives to botox to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. These can be used at home and are far less expensive.

Botox Alternatives
1. GABA Super Antioxidant Cream
This cream contains Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) which has been shown to relax muscles underneath the skin. It allows temporary improvement of fine lines and wrinkles. This cream works within 10 minutes of application, especially around the eyes.

2. PMD Personal Microderm System
As we age, skin cell turnover slows down. The forehead tends to get a lot of sun exposure. Dr Elizabeth Tanzi recommends exfoliating on a regular basis with PMD Personal Microderm System. This helps to restore healthy glow to your skin and stimulate collagen to slow down progression of fine lines and wrinkles.

PMD Personal Microderm System is easy to use. Once a week, cover the entire area in a gentle, sweeping motion. It takes 5 minutes to do the whole face. Thereafter, apply a moisturiser to replenish skin hydration.
